Like I said
here, we just moved into a new house...a blank slate...back to square one...and I was completely overwhelmed with how to even
start planning a nursery. Yes, we needed particular furniture...yes, I wanted it to be juvenile...but
not babyish and
NOT cartoon-y. We wanted a room that is current, soothing, and something he can grow in.
Countless cross-country emails with my favorite (might as well be an) interior designer friend later and we came up with this mood board. Annie is a spectacularly patient friend, as she dealt with my unpredictable shifts between ambivalence and certainty, tutoring me in how to plan a room (I tend to just throw things together and cross my fingers that it works), and the mere fact that the new house wasn't ours yet, so we were planning a room based on MLS blue prints and bad cell phone pictures.

| This was the original inspiration, though little man's room ended up looking much different. |
I was set on a few things by the end of our mood board sesh. The
crib was one thing. The
bedding was the second. The
rug was the third. Everything else...stay tuned.
