A Broquet for my Valentine

I'm really not a huge fan of Valentine's Day - I think it is a commercial holiday in which entirely too much money is spent.  Why not shower your loves with love year-round?  Additionally, I dislike holidays, such as Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, in which societal pressure tells us we should have plans.  Pardon me, society, I'll do what I want!

That being said, I do appreciate any occasion to give and receive a little mush.  What can I say?  "Words of Affirmation" is my love language.  Now, what to do for Brooksie that makes his heart swell without hurting the bank account?

Answer: A bouquet of bacon

I've seen adaptations of this project on Pinterest, and after a little research, I decided to try Our Best Bites' version.

After waiting for the bacon to thaw from the freezer, a trip to the Dollar Store for silk roses, and about an hour...voila! a broquet, if you will.

Brooks definitely felt the love this Valentine's Day, so much so that we needed to have a conversation about how eating a pound of bacon in one sitting is not a healthy habit.
